Texas Pete to add spicy zing to the 2011 Rose Bowl

Texas Pete® Hot Sauce will bring the party to the pregame festivities in its role as an official Game Partner

WINSTON-SALEM, NC (December 26, 2011) — Tailgaters headed to the Rose Bowl Stadium for the season’s “Granddaddy of them All” — the 2012 Rose Bowl between the Oregon Ducks and the Wisconsin Badgers — need not panic if they run out of Texas Pete® hot sauce for their tailgate feast.

Miss Texas Pete® and the Texas Pete® tailgate crew will be on site from 8 a.m. until kickoff on Jan. 2, 2012, for a tailgate rally in the Fan Fest area. The Texas Pete® crew will be handing out free hot sauce samples and gift items to fans as they get fired up for the Bowl Championship Series matchup between the Nos. 5 and 10 teams in the nation. Miss Texas Pete® will also be on hand to autograph her 2012 calendar and pose for photos with fans.

“Since the Rose Bowl has the largest crowd of the season-ending college bowl games, we want to spice up the tailgate parties of as many of our fans as possible,” said Glenn Garner, director of marketing for the TW Garner Food Company. “We’ll have twice as many bottles with us as we would for most events, to ensure we satiate every fans’ hotsauce appetites.”
