WINSTON-SALEM, NC (September 23, 2010) – TW Garner Food Company, manufacturer of Texas Pete® hot sauce and Green Mountain Gringo® salsa and tortilla chips, has joined the TwitChange™ celebrity Tweet auction with a matching contribution that will equal the highest bids for a Twitter exchange with actress Eva Longoria Parker, professional skateboarder Tony Hawk and NBA star Chris Paul of the New Orleans Hornets, up to a maximum of $10,000 total. All proceeds from the TwitChange™ charity auction will benefit aHomeInHaiti.org to provide housing and education for disabled children in Haiti.
“We’re excited to help support such a worthy cause and we really appreciate the efforts of the TwitChange™ community and celebrities who are donating their time for the children of Haiti,” said Glenn Garner, Director of Marketing for TW Garner Food Company. “TW Garner is very active on Twitter with our Texas Pete® brand, so when we first heard about the TwitChange™ charity auction we immediately knew it would be a good fit with our charitable activities.”
The TwitChange™ auction has been running since September 15th and ends on September 25th. Individuals can bid on celebrities via eBay at: https://stores.ebay.com/TwitChange-Auction
“We are thrilled to have the support of TW Garner and we hope that their contribution inspires more bids for Eva Longoria Parker, Tony Hawk and Chris Paul, as well as inspiring other corporations to join the campaign before it closes on the 25th,” said Shaun King, founder of the TwitChange™ project and pastor of Courageous Church in Atlanta.
TW Garner can be found on Twitter under its Texas Pete® brand as @texaspetesauces. The celebrities for whom Texas Pete will be giving its matching contributions are located at @evalongoria, @tonyhawk and @oneandonlycp3.
