Participating Restaurants Announced for Texas Pete Culinary Arts Festival

Winston-Salem, NC (September 12, 2014) The secret’s out, or soon will be. Winston-Salem, it turns out, can cook.

The culinary prowess of 20 area chefs and restaurants will be on display at the two-day Texas Pete® Culinary Arts Festival to be held September 20 and 21 in Winston-Salem’s Arts district. The festival, presented by Wells Fargo, the Winston-Salem Journal and a grant from the Millennial fund, will be the largest culinary showcase ever to hit the Triad.

Participating restaurants in the culinary arts festival include Finnigan’s Wake, Meridian, New Town Bistro and Bar, Pintxos Pour House, Spring House Restaurant Kitchen and Bar, Bib’s Downtown, Sweet Potatoes, Hutch & Harris, 6th and Vine, Mozelle’s, The Porch, Mary’s Gourmet Diner, Atelier on Trade, Black Mountain Chocolate, Millennium Artisan, Milner’s, Triad Community Kitchen, Dewey’s Bakery, Westend Cafe and Mellow Mushroom.

The fact that Winston-Salem is a culinary hot-spot comes as no surprise to Glenn Garner, vice president of marketing for TW Garner Food Company, maker of Texas Pete®, and a self-described foodie who enjoys perusing the city’s culinary scene.

“I’m continually impressed with the level of culinary talent in Winston-Salem and am thrilled that Texas Pete can play a part in spreading the word about all we have to offer,” says Garner. “It’s very exciting to see the festival come together and be supported by so many truly amazing restaurants.”

Festival attendees are advised to arrive hungry and ready to sample a variety of chef-crated regional food. A judging panel will award top honors to the best dish and there will be a beer garden on site. The event also includes a full lineup of live music including national country recording star Corey Smith who is headlining the weekend’s entertainment. Festival admittance is free.
