It’s Dry Rub January

This is the year that we kick our cooking up a notch! Use Texas Pete® Dust Dry Seasoning as a dry rub for all your meat dishes, including grilled or pan fried chicken, fish, and anything else you think could use a lil’ something extra. Leave boring meals behind and start your 2023 off with these Dry Rub January recipes: 


Dusted Cheesy Bacon Ranch Chicken

Servings: 4 | Prep Time: 10 min | Cook Time: 25 min

Copy: Ingredients

  • 4 slices Thick Cut Bacon
  • 4 Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast (8 oz. each)
  • ½ tbsp. Texas Pete® Dust Dry Seasoning
  • 1 tbsp. Ranch Powdered Seasoning
  • ½ cup Mozzarella Cheese, shredded
  • 2 tbsp. Fresh Parsley, chopped

Directions

  1. In a large nonstick skillet over medium heat, add bacon and cook for about 10 minutes or until crispy but not burnt. Remove bacon from skillet, crumble and set aside while retaining 2 tablespoons of bacon grease for frying chicken.
  2. While bacon is cooking, in a small bowl combine Texas Pete® Dust Dry Seasoning and Ranch powdered seasoning then season chicken with Dust mixture. Reheat skillet to medium-high heat, add chicken, cook until golden brown and internal temperature of 165 F, about 6 minutes each side.
  3. Reduce heat to medium and top chicken with mozzarella. Cover skillet and cook until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  4. Top with bacon and garnish with parsley before serving. Serve and enjoy!

Spicy Baked White Fish Filets

Spicy Baked Fish

Servings: 6 | Prep Time: 5 min | Cook Time: 15 min

Ingredients

  • 6 White Fish Fillets (such as cod, swai, flounder)
  • 4 tbsp. Lime Juice
  • 3 tbsp. Unsalted Butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp. Texas Pete® Dust Dry Seasoning
  • 1 Lime, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp. Fresh Parsley, chopped

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F.
  2. Rinse fillets, pat dry and arrange on a baking sheet.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together lime juice, butter, Texas Pete® Dust Dry Seasoning.
  4. Pour mixture over the fish. Place lime slices on the fillets and bake for 15 minutes or until the internal temperature is 145 F.
  5. When fish is cooked, garnish with parsley before serving. Serve hot and enjoy!

Roasted Hash Browns and Spicy Sausage

Servings: 6 | Prep Time: 15 min | Cook Time: 30 min

Ingredients

  • 1 (28 oz.) bag Southern Style O’Brien Hash Browns, frozen
  • 1 (12oz.) package Kielbasa Sausage, sliced
  • ½ cup Pickled Banana Pepper Rings
  • 1 tbsp. Olive Oil
  • 1 tbsp. Texas Pete® Dust Dry Seasoning

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 F.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together hash browns, sausage and banana peppers.
  3. In a small bowl, mix oil and Texas Pete® Dust Dry Seasoning. Pour over hash brown mixture and toss to coat.
  4. Pour in a greased baking pan. Roast 30 minutes, toss once while roasting. Serve hot and enjoy!
